Chapter 112: Ling Feng’s anger!

The blood-red palm print, even within its gaps, revealed a hint of bruising.

One could only imagine the sheer malice and cruelty of the person who laid hands on Su Hongxiu, resorting to such viciousness against a young girl barely in her teens!

Upon observing the other disciples, Ling Feng noticed varying degrees of injuries on their bodies. Immediately, he sensed that this matter was far from simple.

"Where is Luo Jianying?" As Ling Feng uttered these words, his voice had already turned cold.

Among the crowd, there was no sign of Luo Jianying's figure.

In theory, as disciples who were all admitted to the inner sect at the same time and who had experienced hardships together in Luofeng Canyon, their relationships should have been very good. Especially Luo Jianying, who had shown the best performance within the team and had helped other team members on multiple occasions.

Everyone else was present except Luo Jianying.

At the mention of Luo Jianying, everyone immediately became hesitant and evasive in their speech, clearly concealing something.

"What's going on?" Ling Feng furrowed his brow, gazing at the palm print on Su Hongxiu's face, and asked in a deep voice, "Who hit you?"

"I... I fell by myself," Su Hongxiu stepped back a few paces, reaching to cover her cheek, shaking her head repeatedly. "Senior Uncle Ling, I'm fine, really."

Seeing Su Hongxiu's expression, Ling Feng became even more certain in his heart that something had definitely happened to them.

"Can falling create palm prints?" Ling Feng took a deep breath, his gaze fixed on Su Hongxiu, as he said in a serious tone, "Speak up. What really happened? If you still consider me a friend, then tell me the truth."

Within the Wenxian Sect, he didn't have many friends. Su Hongxiu and Luo Jianying were two of them.

Now that his friend was in trouble, he would never stand idly by.

“Actually...” One of the slightly chubby disciples wanted to speak up and reveal the truth, but he was promptly pulled back by someone next to him. The chubby disciple immediately lowered his head and gritted his teeth, saying, "Senior Uncle Ling, you better not get involved in this matter. It's really nothing serious. Brother Luo... he just got injured accidentally while he was out training. He's currently recuperating, it's nothing major."

The chubby disciple hung his head low, unable to meet Ling Feng's gaze directly, and stuttered out his words.

Ling Feng could easily tell that this was a lie. He furrowed his brow and said, "With Luo Jianying's personality, if he had only sustained minor injuries, how could he possibly be content to rest and recuperate?"

During their time in Luofeng Canyon, Luo Jianying had his leg dislocated by a demonic beast. After Ling Feng set his bones back in place, without a second thought, Luo Jianying continued to charge ahead at the forefront of the group, leading everyone in slaying the beasts.

Would someone like him just stay at home to recuperate from a minor injury?

"Well..." The chubby disciple struggled to conceal it any longer and could only muster a bitter expression as he said, "It's nothing, truly... it's really nothing."

"You guys speak up! Don't you know that within the Wenxian Sect, there's no one I can't handle?" Ling Feng raised his eyebrows sharply, his voice cold. "Zhou Yan, you speak!"

Ling Feng's gaze fixed on the disciple who had just pulled the chubby one aside.

"Uhh... Senior Uncle Ling, don't we know your temper? We were afraid that if we told you about Senior Brother Luo's situation, you might make things worse."

Zhou Yan clenched his fists and bit his lips tightly. "I promised Senior Brother Luo that I wouldn't tell you anything. Let's just leave it at that."

With red eyes, Su Hongxiu suppressed her tears and gritted her teeth. "Senior Uncle Ling, we really are fine. Please don't worry about us."

Ling Feng looked at Su Hongxiu's pair of red eyes, and his heart softened once again. After all, they were both considering his well-being, which is why they didn't speak the truth.

"Sigh..." Ling Feng sighed softly, reaching out to gently stroke the palm print on Su Hongxiu's cheek. He said calmly, "It's fortunate that the injury isn't too severe. I'll prepare some ointment for you. Apply it morning and night, and within three days, you'll be healed without leaving any scars."

"Ah? Is it true?"

Su Hongxiu looked at Ling Feng in astonishment. After all, which girl wouldn't want to look beautiful? She had just never realized that Ling Feng's medical skills were so remarkable.

After all, during their time in Luofeng Canyon, Ling Feng had only occasionally assisted with minor medical tasks like setting bones, never truly revealing the extent of his medical expertise.

"Of course it’s true," Ling Feng replied, unsure whether to be angry or amused. Taking a deep breath, he spoke in a solemn tone, "Where is Luo Jianying? Take me to see him."

"Mhmm," Su Hongxiu nodded. Most of the disciples assigned to the same group as Ling Feng were from Yunxiu Peak and Yunmiao Peak.

Like Su Hongxiu, Luo Jianying was also a disciple of Yunmiao Peak.

Yunmiao Peak, being a subsidiary branch of Yunxiu Peak, did not hold the same status as one of the nine major peaks of the Wenxian Sect. Consequently, disciples of Yunmiao Peak were considered inferior in status compared to those of the nine main peaks.

Under the guidance of Su Hongxiu and several other disciples from Yunxiu Peak, Ling Feng quickly arrived at a courtyard nestled halfway up Yunmiao Peak.

This area was where the ordinary inner sect disciples of Yunmiao Peak reside.

Luo Jianying's room is inside this courtyard.

With a creak, the door swung open at the behest of a disciple. Ling Feng caught a whiff of a potent blend of medicinal herbs tinged with the faint scent of blood before he even stepped inside, causing him to furrow his brow.

Sunlight streamed into the room from the windowsill as Ling Feng's gaze swept across the somewhat austere space. Inside, he spotted a young man wrapped in blood-stained white bandages, lying motionless on the bed like a mummy. His breath was sporadic, and he seemed barely conscious.

It was astonishing to see a Qi Formation Realm martial artist struggling to breathe after being beaten so severely.

Anger flared within Ling Feng as he clenched his fists tightly.

Ling Feng quickly approached the bedside of Luo Jianying and reached out, placing his hand directly on his pulse, intending to diagnose his injuries.

Luo Jianying suddenly woke up, opening his swollen, reddened eyes. Upon seeing Ling Feng's face, he immediately showed an excited expression.

"Senior Uncle Ling, you... you're back." There was a hint of joy in his tone, yet at the same time, he sounded remarkably calm, devoid of much anger.

As Su Hongxiu and the others have mentioned, it’s evident that Luo Jianying did not want me to seek revenge on his behalf.

"Yes, I'm back!" Ling Feng smiled faintly at him, his expression unusually calm, so calm it was almost eerie!

"Senior Uncle Ling, I-I didn't..."

"Jianying, don't speak for now, it might affect my diagnosis."

Taking a deep breath, Ling Feng reached out and placed his hand on Luo Jianying's pulse, conducting a careful examination. A storm of shock and astonishment surged within him.

Such sinister means!

At least four of Luo Jianying's ribs were broken, along with fractures in his leg and arm bones. His tendons and ligaments were all severed!

Muscles throughout his body were torn, and even his internal organs experienced slight displacement due to the intense impact.

If Luo Jianying's physique weren't relatively robust, what Ling Feng would be seeing now would undoubtedly be a corpse.

In Ling Feng's eyes, rage seemed as if it were about to erupt forth.

Zifeng, who had been sleeping in Ling Feng’s clothes, jumped up from the shock, trembling uncontrollably.
